We are South Alabamians who like to film things and try and figure out ways to make people watch the things we film. Melon Helmet has worked on various projects, from made-up-for-no-reason Video Gumbos, actual real-life music videos, short movies, to webisodes. We hope you enjoy the stuff we put up here. Jay Birg

Jay Birg's name is actually Joshua Hydock. He served in the Air Force for six years before he separated and began attending the University Of South Alabama, pursuing a bachelor's degree in communication with a concentration in digital media.  He has been making short films, writing and recording music with Jason Cooper since he was a wee lad and enjoys every aspect of production. Jay Birg, along with Jason Cooper has entered the Mobile Film Scramble multiple times and was on the Uncle Henry Radio show on AM 710 for a few months in 2011.
